The Interactive
Messaging Unlimited system lets you
1) receive and
process incoming SMS text messages, and
2) display them
on the Internet, or in public using video or lasers.
Step 1 is handled by a program also named IMU, which
is described below.
Step 2 is handled by an SMS text
display program such as Video
Messaging Unlimited,
which is included in the IMU system.
Receive and process SMS text messages
 The Interactive
Messaging Unlimited program handles incoming SMS text
messages, filters them for language and other criteria,
and then queues them for display by other programs
such as Video Messaging Unlimited.
A major advantage of the IMU system
is that it is completely under your control. It runs on your
own computer. All messages and data are completely private
-- they never leave your computer. There is a one-time flat-fee
for purchasing the system; that means no monthly or per message
costs to limit you. Because you own and run it, you can customize
it to work the way you need.
Easy to use, sophisticated technology
IMU is
easy to use. It features setup wizards and option screens
that clearly describe your many filtering and response options.
Message handling works like Microsoft's familiar Outlook
e-mail program.
IMU is
also technologically sophisticated. It automatically finds
cell phones and cellular modems connected to your computer.
It works with
both GSM and CDMA systems,
and adapts itself to the cellular carrier's particular implementation.
It handles multiple connections, so you can have different
incoming numbers for special applications, like voting.
Includes
cellular modem and Windows software
 The IMU system
comes with a cellular modem (left in photo), It runs on any
modern Windows computer. For mobile applications such as
DJs and special events, a laptop (center) works great. Add
a portable projector (right), and you have a complete SMS
handing-and-display system that you can use anywhere!

NOTE: The computer and projector shown in the
photo at right are not included in the IMU system. TextLive does
provide the cellular modem, the IMU and VMU software on a CD-ROM
disc, and a printed Installation Manual. Turnkey packages
are available that include all these optional items.
IMU
Versions
There
are three versions of the IMU system:
- The Intro system
is suited for mobile DJs and VJs that are just getting
started with a video system and want to incorporate text
messaging into their events. Features are limited to just one chat window.
- The Club system
is best suited for mobile DJs, VJs, clubs, tradeshows,
and special events. Features include chat, voting, multi
media player, and video capture
- The Media Pro system
is intended for high-volume applications in cable TV
and broadcast, and for those who require MMS (Multimedia
Messaging Services) and multiple simultaneous sessions.
